Cheap pasta in the West Village at Sapore 7:49 PM

I went out with my friend AirSuz on a very warm evening in NYC. We headed to her old stomping grounds, the west village where she suggested heading to the Matador because of my taste for tapas. Unfortunately we didn't have reservations and they were booked solid. Luckily across the street was an italian restaurant called Sapore. It's a very tiny place but we got in after a 5 minute wait and was seated in the corner window which allowed us to watch people pass by. The menu was simple but it was also very cheap and we did notice the laminated TimeOut New York feature of Sapore as one of the selected "Cheap Eats" -- and that's what Sapore is, a value pick. Certainly not a romantic restaurant but a mindless cheap eats place to go. Well, we chatted on various topics and the one topic that consumed most of our conversation was this, "what is romance?" This requires a separate entry.
