If Valentines occurs at home this year, it should start as soon as she walks through the door. Some of you don't want to be cheesey but it may be appreciated and work in your favor. I would even argue it's better than just going out to dinner and coming back home for dessert.

Start with roses and lots of them. Drop rose petals and create a path to either the bedroom or to the dinner table. Soon as she walks into the room, she knows it's all about her before she even drops her coat. There's nothing wrong with keeping it simple like cooking dinner and drinking a bit of wine which may be better than competing against the rush of Valentine's Day dates in the city. Make the preparations up until dinner a treat for her by massaging her feet or her whole body and conclude with a nice bath prepared with floating rose petals.

Valentines is on a Tuesday and most likely your woman is working that day. Instead of sending flowers on Valentine's day when the floral industry is having it's super bowl, why not be the first by sending it on Monday and letting everyone know that her man is ahead of the game.
