Learning to dance | 5:30 PM |

OK, I know I exhorted you guys to go dancing in the previous entry, but perhaps what you really need is a little help getting into the groove. A couple of years ago, in preparation for my wedding, I learned the foxtrot at a well known dance school near Columbus Circle called Dancesport. The instructors are top notch and were very patient even with those who have two left feet. The dance school also held dance parties during the week where you could drop by and practice with fellow students. If you like any of the Dancing with the Stars dances, they will teach it to you. I know I'll go back someday to learn the salsa and tango.
Having weekly lessons is like having a dance date every week and by the end of the course, you will have become a better dancer. If I remember correctly, you don't have to bring a partner to learn --you can mingle within the classroom and alternate partners during the class.
