Tonight I went out and got drinks with an old friend. Little did I know that we would end up at a place I've never been which is one of the biggest tourist stops in the city - The View lounge above the Marriott Marquis. It was my first time up there and I had heard much about it. I would avoid the buffet because it's exactly that, a buffet. However, it certainly was its namesake. Even though I'm quite afraid of heights, I was able to ascend those 48 floors. A bit galling going up and down the elevator, I guess the view is worth it. You could determine how good the date is going based on revolutions. Oh, just in case you didn't know, The View rotates 360 degrees providing wonderful views of the city.
