Apparently, Jazz seems to be the thing to do now in NYC based on feedback of my last post. So a cohort shared with me his fav jazz spot in NYC. It' called Detour on East 13th Street, and apparently it was awarded the "Best no-cover Jazz Bar in NYC" from NY Press. I haven't verified this but Norah Jones used to play there before she became big. I like to try out these spots before posting but my cohort just raved, so I was compelled to post.
